Memorial 8th American Infantry Division

Between 26. and 28. July 1944, Millières was liberated by troops from the 8th American Infantry Divsion. This happened during Operation Cobra. In the area of Millières, tough battles took place among the VIIIth US Army Corps and the German SS soldiers from the Das Reich-Division and the 6th Regiment Fallschirmjäger.

There is a memorial who commerates the liberators of Millières.
