Memorial Victims Bombardment Beverlo

This memorial on the cemetery of Beverlo commemorates the civilian victims of the allied bombardment of 12 May 1944.
On 12 May 1944, the Allies mistakenly bombed the Zuidstraat and the Tuinwijk in Beverlo, the target was actually the military blocks in Leopoldsburg. In addition to the German losses and the crews of some bombers, eighty civilians were killed.
