German War Cemetery Kauen / Kaunas

This war cemetery started in 1942. In the Second World War 1,422 Germen soldiers were buried here. Their names are written on plaques around the remembrance-cross. Nowadays the cemetery is used to bring German war graves together. New graves will have their own headstone for each four graves.
