German War Cemetery Memel / Klaipeda

This German war cemetery started in 1915, when about 100 soldiers were buried here. In de Second World War, the cemetery was expanded for the burial of 1,300 soldiers in 1944 and 1945. Nowadays the cemetery is used to bring German war graves together from the regions Klaipeda, Telsiai, Siauliai, Taurage en Raseiniai. Totally there will be 5,000 graves on this cemetery.
