At the Boulevard Jean Hibert, which is located right next to the beach, there are on a small square a number of different memorials. It commemorates various actions done by the French army during the Second World War.
Right next to the memorials is the statue of Jean d'Arc (1412 - 1431), which was during the Second World War for the Vichy regime as the French resistance a symbol of their fight.
