Stumbling Stones Bahnhofstraße 19

These memorial stones (so called Stolpersteine of stumbling blocks) commemorate:
Siegfried Lehmann (born 1884, murdered in Theresienstadt on 6-9-1943)
Sophie Lehmann (born 1890, murdered in Auschwitz)
Walter Lehmann (born 1927, murdered in Dachau on 14-1-1945)
Hilde Lehmann (born 1929, murdered in Auschwitz on 6-10-1944)
Lore Lehmann (born 1933, murdered in Auschwitz on 6-10-1944)
Ida Rosenberg (born 1866, murdered in Theresienstadt on 14-3-1944)
Helene Sternheim (born 1864, murdered in Theresienstadt on 1-8-1943)
Ruth ten Brink (born 1916, murdered in Auschwitz on 5-2-1943)

The small brass plaques, in the pavement in front of houses of which the (mostly Jewish) residents were persecuted or murdered by the Nazis, mention the name, date of birth and place (mostly a concentration camp) and date of death.

In many other cities, mainly in Germany but also in other European countries, the memorials also can be found. There are already many thousands of these plaques and their number is still counting. Almost all Stolpersteine are laid by the German artist himself, Gunter Demnig.
