The stately Maliebaan in Utrecht was also known as the Dutch "Unter den Linden", due to the large number of offices of the Germans and the NSB (Dutch National-Socialist Movement) during World War II.
At number 74 were the headquarters of the German Sicherheitsdienst in Utrecht. In the basements were cells and Dutch many resistance members were interrogated and tortured here.
