Memorial Fallen Members Vitesse 1940-1945

Plaque in memory of the fallen members of Vitesse football club in 1940-1945. After the war, the plaque was given a place in what was then the Nieuw-Monnikenhuize stadium. When Vitesse left this stadium in the late 1990s, the plaque was placed in 2000 in the 'Home of History', in the GelreDome stadium. With the construction of the new training complex of the football club at Sportcentrum Papendal, the plaque was transferred in September 2012. Today it occupies a prominent position at the main entrance of this state-of-the-art training facility, which was officially inaugurated on April 8, 2013.

The inscription on the memorial stone reads:
