Stumbling Stones Münsterstraße 1

These memorial stones (so called Stolpersteine of stumbling blocks) commemorate:
Siegfried Heilbronn (born 1876, murdered in Auschwitz in mei 1944)
Selma Heilbronn (born 1877, murdered in Theresienstadt in augustus 1942)
Marianne Heilbronn (born 1914, murdered in Stutthof)
Hermann Marx (born 1885, murdered in Auschwitz in 1943)
Olga Marx (born 1878, murdered in Auschwitz in 1945)
Kurt Marx (born 1912, murdered in Sobibor in 1943)
Erich Marx (born 1910, murdered in Sobibor in 1943)
Werner Pins (born 1930, murdered in Auschwitz)
Hildegard Pins (born 1921, murdered in Stutthof)
Ilse Pins (born 1933, murdered in Riga)
Helmut Pins (born 1922, survived)

The small brass plaques, in the pavement in front of houses of which the (mostly Jewish) residents were persecuted or murdered by the Nazis, mention the name, date of birth and place (mostly a concentration camp) and date of death.

In many other cities, mainly in Germany but also in other European countries, the memorials also can be found. There are already many thousands of these plaques and their number is still counting. Almost all Stolpersteine are laid by the German artist himself, Gunter Demnig.
