Memorial Book Burning
On 10 May 1933, a large book burning took place on this square. Student burned books which showed a different opinion than the one from the Nazis.
This memorial is unveiled on 10 May 2013. It consists of a bronze plaque and 50 bronze books in the pavement in front of the Altes Rathaus.
