Memorial Tranchée de la Soif (Trench of Thirst)

This memorial is in honor of the cut off 7th Company of the 172ste Régiment d'infanterie that defended here a trench from 20 to 22 May 1915 aganst countless enemy counter attacks. Eventually, the Germans managed to recapture the trench against a high toll. The trench is known as the "Tranchée de la Soif" ("Trench of thirst").
