John Eden
Lieutenant John Eden (XII Royal Lancers) was the older brother of Sir Anthony Eden Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1955 to 1959. Lt. Eden was killed during a reconnaissance in the area of Kruiseke (Wervik) at the foot of the America Mountain on October 17, 1914. He is buried here on Larch Wood (Railway Cutting) Cemetery Plot IV Row D Grave 6.
