This cemetery was named after a German strongpoint that was taken by no. 1 company of the 2nd battalion Grenadier Guards on July 31st, 1917.
Burials were only started in October 1917 for soldiers of the Guards division and later also used by mainly artillery units in the area. This cemetery was only used during october and november 1917.
In total 82 soldiers are laid to rest here of which 6 are unknown
