The 'Hvidsten Group' was a Danish resistance group who had been formed in 1943. The group was responsible for receiving weapons and food by Allied planes. The Hvidsten Group was arrested by the Gestapo in March 1944. Eight men were executed on 29 June 1944.
A year after the execution and the liberation of Denmark, a memorial was established in memory of the executed members of the Hvidsten Gruppen.
