Stumbling Stones Grindelhof 64

These memorial stones (so called Stolpersteine of stumbling blocks) commemorate:
Blanka Ehrenberg (born 1868, murdered in Theresienstadt on 29-1-1943)
Carl Cohn (born 1858, murdered in Theresienstadt on 25-7-1942)
Carmen Cohn (born 1896, faith unknown)
Hans Cohn (born 1925, faith unknown)
Julius Cohn (born 1896, faith unknown)
Gertrud Ehrenberg (born 1898, murdered in Minsk)
Inge Ehrenberg (born 1933, murdered in Minsk)
Lotte Ehrenberg (born 1936, murdered in Minsk)
Max Renner (born 1876, murdered in Minsk)

The small brass plaques, in the pavement in front of houses of which the (mostly Jewish) residents were persecuted or murdered by the Nazis, mention the name, date of birth and place (mostly a concentration camp) and date of death.

In many other cities, mainly in Germany but also in other European countries, the memorials also can be found. There are already many thousands of these plaques and their number is still counting. Almost all Stolpersteine are laid by the German artist himself, Gunter Demnig.
