These memorial stones (so called Stolpersteine of stumbling blocks) commemorate:
Berta Lesheim (born 1901, murdered in Lodz on 5-4-1942)
Kurt Ehrenberg (born 1892, murdered in Minsk)
Herbert Lesheim (born 1904, murdered in Lodz on 5-4-1942)
Ruth Lesheim (born 1930, murdered in Lodz on 5-4-1942)
Marion Lesheim (born 1936, murdered in Lodz on 5-4-1942)
Tana Lesheim (born 1939, murdered in Lodz on 5-4-1942)
Mary Liebreich (born 1882, murdered in Riga)
Hugo Moses (born 1887, murdered in Minsk)
Berta Nürenberg (born 1874, murdered on 23-09-1940)
Heinrich Kempler (born 1884, murdered in Poland)
Rosa Kempler (born 1885, murdered in Poland)

The small brass plaques, in the pavement in front of houses of which the (mostly Jewish) residents were persecuted or murdered by the Nazis, mention the name, date of birth and place (mostly a concentration camp) and date of death.

In many other cities, mainly in Germany but also in other European countries, the memorials also can be found. There are already many thousands of these plaques and their number is still counting. Almost all Stolpersteine are laid by the German artist himself, Gunter Demnig.
