Grave Manfred von Richthofen

This is the final resting place of the "Red Baron" Manfred von Richthofen, who when he was killed in action in 1918 on the Somme had 80 victories.

His original burial place was Bertangles Communal Cemetery. Then he was later moved to Fricourt before being taken to Germany where he was buried twice more. Firstly in Berlin and in 1973 he was buried in the family grave at the Südfriedhof in Wiesbaden.
