War Memorial World War Two Great Yarmouth

This memorial, in St. George’s Park, commemorates the residents of Great Yarmouth who gave their life in the Second World War (619 servicemen and 162 civilians), Palestine in 1947 (2 names), Malaysia in 1956(1 name), Cyprus in 1956 (2 names), Korea (1 name) and Afghanistan in 2010 (1 name).

This memorial also commemorates the Gurkha Soldiers who served in the First World War and the Second World War.
