In the middle of the woods, south of the town of Bodenwerder in the Weser Bergland, are 6 Soviet War Graves. These people died as forced laborers.
On a plaque is the following text:
'Here are people from eastern Europe.
They were deported as forced laborers
Between 1943 and 1945 far from the homeland to die.
We remember them in memory
The residents of Bodenwerder'
Address: From the North: Follow the L 580 through Bodenwerder. Just outside the town is situated on the right the campplace "An der himmelspforte 'on the Ziegerleiweg. A bit further away lies just right away the other end of the Ziegeleiweg. Here (left of the road) runs a path into the woods. Follow the path and just in the woods to the right lie the graves.
