Hector Maes: born Sint-Blasius-Boekel on May 25, 1892.
He went missing on the battlefield at Bunsbeek on August 18, 1914 and was buried in the cemetery of Sint-Margriete-Houtem.
Omer Van Schorisse: born Sint-Blasius-Boekel on August 3, 1892.
Killed in the battle in Sint-Margriete-Houtem on August 18, 1914. Buried there in the cemetery as an unknown soldier. His name is mentioned on the list of fallen soldiers buried there, but his grave is unknown.
Charles Louis De Nys: born Sint-Blasius-Boekel on November 27, 1894.
Died on October 3, 1918 during the fighting for the Flandern I line near Westrozebeke.
He was hastily buried along the road from Ypres to Hooglede on October 6, 1918.
His family went to collect his remains there.
Next to the monument there is a memorial plaque for Pieter Arthur Dehenau, who fell as a pioneer in the Belgian Congo.
