Air Raid Shelter Wattenscheider Straße

This air raid shelter (in German: Hochbunker) offered protection for up to 3000 people during bombardments. During one bombardment, more than 300 people were killed in and around this bunker because they couldn’t lock the doors on time. The damage of this bomb are still visible on the outside of the bunker.
