These memorial stones (so called Stolpersteine of stumbling blocks) commemorate:
Alfred Felsenthal (born 1907, murdered in Lodz)
Herbert Cohn (born 1904, murdered in Minsk)
Käthe Cohn (born 1907, murdered in Minsk)
Helene Felsenthal (born 1883, murdered in Minsk)
Dr. Richard Hoffmann (born 1882, murdered in Lodz on 14-3-1943)
Elisabeth Hoffmann (born 1886, murdered in Lodz on 26-4-1944)
Gertrud Horwitz (born 1876, murdered in Minsk)
Hugo Horwitz (born 1916, murdered in Minsk)
Amalie Salomon (born 1887, murdered in Riga)
Mathel Windmüller (born 1908, murdered in Lodz)
Denny Windmüller (born 1911, murdered in Lodz)

The small brass plaques, in the pavement in front of houses of which the (mostly Jewish) residents were persecuted or murdered by the Nazis, mention the name, date of birth and place (mostly a concentration camp) and date of death.

In many other cities, mainly in Germany but also in other European countries, the memorials also can be found. There are already many thousands of these plaques and their number is still counting. Almost all Stolpersteine are laid by the German artist himself, Gunter Demnig.
