Adjancent to the War Memorial of Cranbrook stands a 1917 German Howitzer. It was presented by the War Trophies Commission to the Parish of Cranbrook in recognition of teh contribution its residents made during the 1914-18 war.
There's also a plough. The text on the plaque is:
" ... and they shall beat their swords into ploughshares... Isaiah 2:4
This Ransome plough was used in the local hop gardens during the 1914-18 war"
