Memorial against War and Fascism

This is the national war memorial of Austria (Mahnmal gegen Krieg und Faschismus). It consists of a number of parts, each one depicting a part of the Second World War and the consequences of fascism.

On this location was an apartment-building what was destroyed during a bombardment. Hundred of people who searched shelter in the basement were killed.
