This memorial located in Bittermark Forest, near Dortmund commemorates the killing by the Gestapo of 300 people who were German members of the resistantance and forced labourers from France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Yugoslavia, Poland and the Soviet Union.
The killings took place from 7 March until 12 April 1945 - one day before, the area was liberated on 13th April.
