Memorial 3rd Engineer Batallion

This monument commemorates the deployment of the 3rd Battalion Engineers during World War I.

The left panel commemorates the fallen 8 officers, 10 NCOs, 133 corporals and soldiers of the 3rd Battalion under the 6th Division who were killed in action.

The right panel commemorates the fallen 10 officers, 18 NCOs and 190 corporals and soldiers of the 3rd Battalion under the 3rd Division and La Position Fortifiée de Liège, P.F.L., who were killed in action.

The memorial also mentions the places where the Battalion was deployed; Liège, Antwerp , the Yzer, the Leie, Stadenberg, Oostnieuwkerke, Westroosebeke, Passchendaele and Rumbeke.
