Liberation Memorial (Canadian) Perth Regiment

The Regiment Perthplein is a roundabout in the Zwette district in Sneek. The roundabout features a Canadian "Maple leaf" in red-colored vegetation. One of the streets leading to and from the roundabout is called Kanadezenstrjitte.

The monument on the Regiment Perth square in Sneek is a stone memorial column with bricked plaque. It is dedicated to the Canadian liberators from the Perth Regiment, who liberated Sneek at the end of World War II.

Text on the memorial:
"In grateful remembrance of the Canadians who participated in the liberation of the Netherlands 1944-45 and to remember the Perth Regiment whose members were based in Sneek in May to December 1945."
