Soviet War Cemetery "Yefremov"

This small war cemetery is standing on the spot where the wounded Soviet Major General Mikhail Grigoryevich Yefremov commited suicide on 19 April 1942. He was buried with full military honour by the Germans elsewhere and commemorated here with a memorial stone. There are two graves of two other Soviet officers who perished that same day.

There are many German trenches and pillboxes in the area.
