Memorial B-24 Liberator KG 939 "A-Able"
The B-24 Liberator bomber KG 939 "A-Able" of the SAA (South African Air Force ) crashed here in the night of 14/15 August 1944. Two of the crew members were killed by German artillery or bullets and another died due to a failing parachute. The rest of the crew survived the crash.
