Monument Joakim Rakovac

He was one of the organizers of the "People's Liberation Strugle" in Istria.
He was elected as a leader of Regional Comitee of KPY for Istria end of September '43 and a delegate to the third meeting of ZAVNOH (provisional government of Croatia) in May 1944. He was slain in a German ambush on January 18, 1945 in the village Korenici.
