This memorial commemorates the residents of Holnon who were killed or missing in the Franco-Prussian War (1870-1871), the Great War (World War I) and World War II and the war in Algeria (1954-1962). It also commemorates the French servicemen (AFN, Afrique Française du Nord) who gave their lives in the war in Algeria and the battles in Morocco and Tunisia, from 1952 to 1962.
A third memorial commemorates the French soldiers who were killed in the Battle of Saint-Quentin, on 19 January 1871.
