This monument is a reminder of the men shot dead in response to a sabotage at the signal box at the railway yard. Two days after the sabotage, 18 prisoners from Amersfoort camp were brought here in front of the house to be shot. Two passers-by were also killed. The Germans assumed that the sabotage was organized from this building. The remains remained in the garden for another two days.
15 victims are buried at the Rusthof cemetery in Amersfoort.
