Memorial André Maginot
This memorial is in memory of André Maginot, the pre-war under-minister of war, who joined the army in 1914. During an action on 9 November at Verdun his knee was shattered, but he remained at his unit. In the evening, he allowed himself to be assisted by two soldiers to return to an aid post. Maginot returned to politics following his injury.
