On the Groeperkade in Renswoude a plain white cross stands opposite restaurant "De Dennen". The cross bears a sign with the names of five resistance fighters who were executed here on November 14, 1944. The fusillade was a reprisal because of a raid on a German soldier on the Groeperkade in Renswoude on November 11, 1944. The German soldier lost his gun and was wounded but survived the attack.
