Fort de Villey-le-Sec - Réduit
This French fort was built from 1875 to 1879 and modernized between 1903 and 1914. The Réduit was armed with a Mourit 155mm gun turret. During the First World War, the fort was manned by a 1301 men strong garrison.
The fort was bombarded by the U.S. Army in 1944.
