The monument stands at the entrance of the municipal cemetery of Koudekerke.
A round column that stands on a pedestal; on all four sides there is a text, on top of the column is the Dutch lion.
The text on one of the sides of the pedestal can be translated as follows:
In memory of those from Koudekerke that lost their lives during the years of the war 1940 – 1945.
On the remaining three sides of the footrest the names of the victims have been inscribed.
