It concerns Captain Thomas Anthony Mellows 166686. 27th Lancers, Royal Armoured Corps, seconded to SOE. Dropped as a member of Jedburgh team MARTIN.
Killed while fighting Germans seeking to retake the town from the maquis on 21-8-1944. 24yrs old.
