Memorial Jewish Employees University Library Leiden

This Memorial inside the University-library commemorates two Jewish employees of the University-library who along with 29 other university employees were dismissed on 23 November 1940.

Six months later, Elsa Oppenheim committed suicide and Caroline van Loen was murdered in Auschwitz in March 1944.
