Memorial Victims 1940 Hermaville

This monument and the rest of the mill is in memory of the miller Oscar Vermelle from Hermaville. Oscar Vermelle was murdered by the Germans in Hermaville on 22-05-1940 during World War II.

The other memorial is in memory of the victims of Hermaville who perished in the attacks by the Germans in Hermaville on 20 and 21-05-1940 during World War II.
In these attacks, five people died and 25 houses and buildings were destroyed in Hermaville.
