Forte Malamot and Centro di Fuoco nr 6

This former Italian fort was built in 1889 and was in use during both world wars.

Malamot Fort and underground system nr 6: build in the 1889 on the top of the Malamot mountain at 2920 meters. it is a big building in stones and was equipped with 4 Gardner machine guns. In the 1930 was built the underground bunker ("Centro di Fuoco nr 6") with 3 cannons and 2 entrances. Amazing note is that the steel observatory was camouflaged inside a concrete structure for protect it from the snow and that structure is similar to the ancient observatory of the original fort on the top of the mountain.
