This memorial commemorates the residents of Ablis who were killed or missing in the Great War (World War I) and World War II.
The plaques at the main memorial commemorate:
- The residents of Ablis who gave their lives in the Franco-Prussian War (1870-1871).
- The French servicemen (AFN, Afrique Française du Nord) who gave their lives in the war in Algeria and the battles in Morocco and Tunisia, from 1952 to 1962.
- The soldiers of the 4th Régiment de Tirailleurs Tunisiens who were killed in the fights on 15 and 16 June 1940.
