Fort "Gerhard"

Fort "Gerhard" was built between 1856 and 1863 as a part of the Swinoujscie fortress. From 1921 until 1945, the fortress was used by the Kriegsmarine.

The fort today:
Fort "Gerhard" is now a museum. It has an exhibit about the garrison life after World War 1 and during World War 2.
