Memorial Towerwall N.H.Kerk

Rinse Jehannes Wiersma was born on March 2, 1921 in Engwierum. He died as a seaman 1st class aboard HNMS Tromp during a battle in the night against the Japanese occupiers in Badung Strait. According to information from the Department of Defense (Navy) Wiersma died on February 20, 1942. He was buried in Dutch Ereveld Kembang Koening Surabaya.

Klaes Aartsma Henry was born on December 18, 1926 in Engwierum. He died on Porong at March 28, 1949 and was buried in the Dutch Ereveld Kembang Koening Surabaya.
