Commemorative Plate Sabotage Train Pontaix

This commemorative plate reminds of the sabotage of the train with German soldiers on furlough on 21 and 22 December 1943 by the French Resistance.
As a reprisal, 57 men were arrested by the Germans from Barsac, Pontaix, Sainte-Croix and Vercheny, 37 men did not return.
