The Ouvrage Molvange is part of the Secteur fortifié de Thionville and is one of the larger works. The garrison consisted of 725 soldiers and 24 officers of the 169th RIF. Molvange was hardly attacked during the Second World War.
Today:
Ouvrage Molvange is still owned by the French army. Unfortunately, the ouvrage fell victim to vandals and metal thieves. The interior is in a bad condition.
In 2007, the Association that manages Ouvrage Fermont dismantled two retractable domes and installed them in the Fermont museum.
