This memorial commemorates the residents of Holthees who were killed or missing in World War II.

The red triangle with bull's head is the symbol of our liberators. The three steel constructions symbolize the remains of houses and trees, a human being near despair, a cross ... The V-sign stands for Victory, the victory, not only of this war but of all evil. The beveled steel plates, the wings towards freedom ending in the steel cross, our faith, our freedom, our future ...
