Kornelis Wind was born on December 24, 1918 in Weststellingwerf. He died as a soldier (Staf II Verk. A.) on May 10, 1940 in Ede and is buried at the Bijz. cemetery in Terband.

Hendrik Jan Textor was born on October 21, 1885 in Zutphen. He was a doctor in Sneek and joined the resistance during the Second World War. Textor died on May 29, 1942 in the Oranjehotel prison in Scheveningen. He is buried at the N.H. cemetery in Sintjohannesga.
Albert Marten Rinkema was born on March 31, 1885 in Rottum. The cattle farmer died on June 30, 1944 in Rottum and is buried on the Gem. cemetery in Rottum.
On Sunday, April 15, 1945, he volunteered for a reconnaissance mission for the Canadian army, which was advancing in the direction of the bridge in Scharsterbrug. Jung made progress on a bicycle, but when it became too dangerous, he decided to continue on foot. Every now and then he took cover in the so-called one-man holes in the side of the road. Jung was unable to find enough cover in a half-filled hole, with the result that he was shot dead by the occupying forces. On April 18, 1945 he was buried at the N.H. cemetery in Sintjohannesga.
