War Memorial Strasbourg

This memorial commemorates the residents of Strasbourg who died in the First and Second World Wars. The sculpture depicts a mother holding two dead sons - one died for France, the other for Germany. This reflects the chaotic history of Alsace, which has passed between France and Germany several times. Local street signs are in two languages.
