Inscription on the plaque, at the site of the memorial Sachsenhausen:

THE DUTCH WHO ARE KILLED HERE, IN THE ERA 1940-1945
THEY GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR OUR FREEDOM.

Next to the memorial is a German translation.

On the photo, taken on May 4, 2014, is Mr. Josef Snep, Dutch survivor of Sachsenhausen and the last survivor of the "Schuhläuferkommando." He is vice president of the International Sachsenhausen Committee.
