This Maison Forte (MF) type Ardennes consists of a light blockhouse with an accommodation for the troops on top. The line-up consisted of a non-commissioned officer, a corporal and four soldiers from the 15th company of the 147th RIF. The occupation had to sound the alarm in the event of a German invasion and blow up roads and bridges.
It was armed with a 37mm anti-tank gun, two light machine guns, 2 attachments for firing rifle grenades, 100 light anti-tank mines and 20 elements for an anti-tank barrier.

The fallen soldiers stood under command of the 78ème Régiment d'artillerie.
